This site is entirely declarative: being composed of minimal XHTML styled with CSS. Consequently, it should be usable from every browser.
To make the site accessible to all browsers, the version of XHTML used is XHTML Basic. As the specification says:
"The goal of XHTML Basic is to serve as a common language supported by various kinds of user agents."
So, here is a site where "form follows function" in both content and presentation. And it uses even less bandwidth than it did seven years ago.
